My name is Antoinette and I hold a BA Degreee (Hons.) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. Working in an integrative way, I adopt a humanistic and person-centred approach which enables me work in a way that best suits each individual I work with. I hold a practitioners certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and a Certificate in Child and Adolescent Counselling. I am a fully accredited member of the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), and thereby follow their strict Code of Ethics
- I work with Adults 1:1, Couples, Adolescents and Children (10+).
- Throughout our work together I will support you to talk about your life and issues in a safe and respectful way. Our aim will be that you gain a better understanding and insight into your problems and emotions and I will support you to work towards achieving a positive outcome to your difficulties.
- Taking an optimistic, non-judgmental and non-directive approach to therapy I can support you to become aware of your own strengths and resources. I aim to support you seek out solutions to your problems and facilitate learning new ways of coping with the difficulties you may be currently experiencing.
- Integrating elements from different schools of therapy can support you to become aware of how the past may be influencing your current thoughts and behaviours, and thereby assist you to work through unresolved issues and conflicts you may have with significant people in your life.
